Virtual Tours of our Paddock Paradise
This is our effort to share Hoofbeats Holistic for those who can't travel to tour our facility. Please find below various slideshows that showcase our laneway system, feeding systems, watering holes and some of our herd members through seasonal changes.
Our environment is an evolving work in progress. We enjoy building new areas and increasing the options for the horses who live here with us. And of course there is always something new and special happening with the herd. It's a living breathing dynamic of relationships, struggles, healing and play.
Spring and Summer at Hoofbeats Holistic
Like any other horse facility Spring can be a season of mud here at Hoofbeats. We bring in copious amount of stone to keep our tracks in excellent shape for the coming seasons. This stone helps to benefit and improve the herds' hoof form and function as they travel to meet their needs. Summer is by far the most beautiful time of year.
Fall and Winter at Hoofbeats Holistic
If you like the cold and snow then you may be tempted to think that winter rivals summer here on our farm. I will admit that freshly fallen snow in our Paradise is indeed breathtaking. Factor in our handsome and lovely herd members frolicking in that snow and it's nothing short of heaven. Enjoy the sparkle of winters glory, but my favorite season on track is Fall.
Slow Feeding at Hoofbeats Holistic
We use a variety of slow feeders during different times of the year as well as at differing herd sizes. Nibblenets hung from custom made stations, Big Dee's Slow Feed Hay Nets from driven posts and Hitch Rings on trees, and Hay Chix Full Bale Hay Nets combined with Tarter Equine Hay Baskets are all in use at one time or another.
Our Watering Holes at Hoofbeats Holistic
We have three stream fed lower watering hole areas that runs 365 days a year. We also have a large pond area on the main part of the track.
